Michael Mayfield

Michael Mayfield is the Senior Vice President of Remarketing and Strategic Development at Mazuma Capital. In this role, he works closely with Mazuma's lessees and partners to manage end-of-term lease settlements and negotiations. He also plays a key leadership at Mazuma, including overseeing post-merger integration efforts to ensure strategic goals and synergies are successfully realized.

Michael joined Mazuma in 2023 following a distinguished 25-year legal career at one of Salt Lake City’s largest and most respected law firms. As a long-time partner, he built a thriving practice focused on leasing and finance, earning a reputation as a trusted advisor and advocate for financial institutions. His legal excellence has been recognized with multiple honors, including inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© for Banking and Finance Law and selection by Mountain States Super Lawyers in Banking Law and Utah Business Magazine’s “Legal Elite.” In 2021, he received the “Distinguished Service Award” from the Utah State Bar’s Banking and Finance Section.

Michael holds both his bachelor’s and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Utah. A passionate college football fan, his “happy place” is a packed stadium on a crisp autumn afternoon.
